Is It Ok To Leave A Siberian Husky Alone This Long?

So my family is planning on getting a Siberian Husky only it will have to be alone with my other dog for around seven hours. I think it will be ok because it will have my other dog as company, but I just want to make sure that it wouldn’t get lonely. Plus, I would probably have to keep it in a crate for a few months at first.

try just getting the new dog and the older dog acquainted over a short(ish) period of time, if they act okay around each other than it should be okay
NOTE :i don’t know these dogs so sorry if it doesn’t work but its how my 4 dogs got use to each other

If the dogs get along you should be ok. Huskies if left alone can be very very destructive. But, if you have another dog and they get along they should be ok. (keep each other company) That’s why alot of owners if they have a husky, they either have lots of time to spend with the dog, Or have another husky most of the time so they keep each other occupied. I do not recommend crating the husky for that long. It is a working dog. not a lazy sleeper. crate is best for when you go get groceries, or go out to dinner, and so forth. Your best bet is to start off easy if you can. leave the dogs and go to the store or something, start out with short trips. don’t just jump into 7 hrs alone right away. Also. don’t leave the husky in the back yard unless you have a very tall fence and they cant dig or open the gate! Siberians are like convicts trying to escape. they are smarter then alot of humans. if you are leaving the dogs inside. make sure around the windows there is nothing the husky can break, he will naturally go towards windows or where it looks like outside. Your pro side is that you have another dog so hopefully your other dog will keep the husky occupied. there is only two basic ways to have a Siberian. either you have one husky if you have ALOT of time at home to be with him/her. or the other option is to have another dog to keep the Siberian company which you do.
